Poolside Movie Night

Come join us on Saturday, September 10th at 6:45 PM Poolside for a special viewing of Jurassic World, Fallen Kingdom. This event is open to adults 18 and over. Sign up for the Poolside Movie Night at the front desk by September 10th.  The cost is $12 per person.

Onsite Electronic Waste & Unwanted Clothing Removal

Do you have outdated electronics and unwanted clothing that you would like to dispose of? Well, I have great news! You can donate these items on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The truck will be located near the Grande South trash gate just beyond the lobby.  Electronic waste items are limited to TVs, computers, monitors, laptops, tablets, and cell phones. Unwanted clothing: Gently used clothes and shoes will be donated to our charitable partner It’s All About the Kids.

Masks Are Strongly Recommended

The County of San Diego has moved back to the orange tier for COVID-19 levels.   While this is currently not a requirement, the Association is strongly recommending that individuals wear masks throughout the building. There are masks available at the P1, P2 & P3 levels of the garage as well as at the front desk. The Association will continue to follow the County of San Diego guidelines regarding COVID protocol and will send out communication if the mask guidelines change within the building.

Water Damage

Did you know that WATER is the enemy in high-rises and overflowing/flooding from appliances spreads quickly to other units below and alongside your unit? Never leave the unit unattended when running the dishwasher or washing machine. Be sure to have proper HO6 insurance that covers water damage liabilities. Water travels fast. Report all water issues Immediately and learn how to shut off the water in your unit.

Security Diligence & Recognition

Over the last ten (10) days, our overnight officers (Milton, Yasir, and Jeremiah) have stopped four (4) separate incidents on the perimeter of the building which was not reported by residents and was noticed by our staff. The transients were either removed from the property or stopped before entering our community. The officers were recognized during the Open Session Board meeting on June 29th and provided with a gift for their diligence.  

Countywide HVAC Repair Scheduling

The Association is currently working with Countywide Mechanical to schedule dates and facilitate repairs noted during the in-unit HVAC inspections that were performed in April and May 2022. Please find the discounted price list for HVAC Services. If you choose to move forward with HVAC services,  Owners will be invoiced by the HOA instead of Countywide. Please email Kyndra at no later than Friday, July 1st if you are interested in scheduling HVAC services with Countywide.

Garage Driving Reminder & Mirror Adjustments

Have you looked at the parking garage ramp mirrors lately? These mirrors which help identify people and cars around the corners of the stop signs have been adjusted recently to provide for better viewing around the driving ramps. We hope this allows residents to navigate around the garage safely.

2nd Window Washing of 2022

The Board approved the 2nd window washing service for 2022. After the annual window equipment inspections takes place by the Associations equipment vendor Spider, window washing service vendor DMS will be out the week of June 20th to begin cleaning the windows. We anticipate the tower being completed before the July 4th holiday, so residents can get a clear look at this year’s fireworks show.

Guest Suite

Did you know that the Grande North offers an extra suite for your guests? The guest suite is available for a period of seven (7) days per calendar year. Five of which may be weekdays and two weekend days. A resident may reserve the guest suite up to ninety days (90) in advance of the planned stay. If a calendar day is available within 72 hours of the date, any resident may reserve that stay, in one or two-night increments and not have those days count as their seven (7) allowed nights. A $25.00 per night deposit is required to confirm the reservation.  Use of the Guest Suite will be determined by lottery if two residents book within the same 24-hour period for the same day. No animals are permitted in the Guest Suite.

Swimming Pool Reminders

A friendly reminder as the weather continues to become warmer, the pool and spa hours are Sunday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to Midnight. The use of the pool is expressly limited to residential owners, tenants, and their invited guests. Each unit is limited to four (4) guests total, at any given time.  At no time shall there be any loud noise, music, or other activities that create a nuisance. Only standard swimwear is allowed in the pool and spa area. proper attire, including shoes and shirts, is required to be worn at all times while in the Common Areas except the pool and spa areas.
