Emergencies happen when you least expect them! Being prepared is the key to saving lives and reducing injuries in an emergency. Are you prepared for these critical situations?
Medical Emergency Guide – How to Handle A Medical Emergency: Remain calm and call 911! Every minute & second helps! This step-by-step guide will prepare you should a medical emergency occur in your home. We encourage you to read the guide carefully and keep it handy for quick reference during an emergency.
Emergency Evacuation Assistance Form: In the case of an evacuation emergency, The Grande North wants to ensure the on-site team is aware of who may need extra assistance exiting their homes so we can provide this information to emergency response personnel. If you have a disability, handicap or medical condition, temporary or permanent, and require assistance to exit the building via the stairwell, make sure you have given building management a resident information statement which specifies your condition. This information should be updated as needed and will be kept in a secure file to be given only as needed to emergency personnel in case of a building emergency.
Resident Emergency Procedures & Safety Manual: Your safety greatly depends upon how you react in the unlikely event of a fire, earthquake or other disaster while you are at The Grande North. We encourage you to read our manual/guide carefully and keep it handy for quick reference during an emergency. It is the purpose of this manual to provide important safety information concerning the building you live in!
High Rise Emergency & Safety Slideshow: This slideshow provides information on different types of emergencies, such as: building alarms, earthquakes, fire, suspicious activity, water leaks, etc. This visual manual gives our residents more information about the building and how to react to certain situations. We encourage you to go through the complete slideshow and keep it handy for quick reference during an emergency.
Emergency & Important Contacts: This document has a list of emergency/important contacts for different types of situations. Keep this document handy for quick reference during an emergency.
Add Your Emergency Contact(s) To Your Profile: Update your personal emergency contact(s) with the front desk! An emergency contact is the first person(s) the front desk & medical personnel will get in touch with in an emergency. When choosing your emergency contacts, consider family members, friends or close neighbors who live locally and who you trust. Emergency responders recommend that your emergency contacts know where to access your health history, your healthcare providers’ contact information, and your wishes for certain treatments. You can update your contacts directly through your resident portal at Resident.actionlife.com. You can also update your emergency contacts by filling out and handing a resident information form to the front desk.
For you convenience, the above forms can be downloaded by clicking on the “title” of the documents. These forms can also be found on the resident portal at Resident.actionlife.com > My Community > Documents > Emergency Procedures & Forms.
